Many commentaries in recent years have promoted one label for our contemporary learners. This perspective suggested that ICTs increased the similarity of all learners, promoting a one-size-fits all label, that is, all children have access to ICTs, love using ICTs and are fluent in a wide range of uses of ICTs for a wide range of purposes. This paper investigates this perspective and provides data from a study in provincial Queensland. In doing so, teachers are asked to think about the diversity of learners in their classrooms and the role of ICTs in increasing that diversity.
