Virtual Worlds - their roles in learning, teaching and professional development

During her research into the use of Virtual Worlds as learning spaces, Lindy has distilled five key roles for virtual worlds for learning and teaching. This presentation will illustrate those roles with examples from Second Life and Exit Reality. Examples of teachers using virtual worlds as professional learning communities as well as learning spaces for their students will be explored.
