Serious Games - Potential & Challenges for Higher Education & Beyond

Computer games have the capacity to take learning to a whole new level. Playing computer games has become one of today's most popular media for people of all ages. Why not use the inherent fascination with games for purposes beyond pure entertainment for learning in schools.
- The session will cover (including demos) some serious games (including business simulations and immersive learning)which can be used for Social Studies and Business Studies
- Discuss some challenges faced by educators in introducing serious games in classrooms.
The session will include a demonstration of serious games and a multiplayer business simulation. Any one interested can in live play can get in touch with me.
