"21st century education integrates technologies, engaging students in ways not previously possible, creating new learning and teaching possibilities, enhancing achievement and extending interactions with local and global communities." MCEETYA Contemporary Learning Framework

This workshop will explore contemporary approaches to learning and teaching and deepen understandings of key elements of contemporary learning.

Models of Contemporary Learning from a number of classrooms will be used to demonstrate elements of contemporary learning and teaching and how ICT has been used to support powerful learning. These models will be used to explore a contemporary learning framework based on MCEETYA’s Learning in an Online World: Contemporary Learning Statement and Pedagogy Strategy. The framework aligns to the Melbourne Declaration of Educational Goals for Young Australians.

Participants will be given the opportunity to see contemporary learning in action and consider implications for their own teaching and learning.
