802.11n: Lessons Learned From The First 1,000 Xirrus Installations

John DiGiovanni

on Wednesday, 7 April 2010 15:00 - 15:30 in room 216

The goal of this session will be to provide real world insights and recommendations for Educational Institutions making the move to 802.11n or deploying a wireless network for the first time, by exploring the lessons learned from the past 2 years of over 1,000 Xirrus 11n installations. The differences between 802.11n and legacy 802.11a/b/g are clearly evident, as the technology has become broadly deployed in new and upgraded Wi-Fi networks. We will investigate features that the first generation 11n products provide, Site Survey Issues, Performance Expectations, Network and Architecture Considerations, Client Device Considerations, Security Issues and provide Overall Recommendations for a successful wireless deployment.
