Leadership Forum
ACEC 2010
Workshop on Tuesday, 6 April 2010 12:00 - 16:30 in room 210
TAGS: Curriculum, Pedagogy, Policy, Primary School, Secondary School, Leadership
Following the successful Leadership Forum at past conferences, ACCE will again bring together key leaders and decision makers in the education and ICT field for a workshop. Discussion papers created at these forums have become a beacon for political decision makers at both the state and federal level.
This is an important opportunity to participate in the national dialogue on ICT in education. Forum attendance numbers are limited. Cost of $99 to attend includes lunch.
This year's ACCE Leadership Forum, to be held on Tuesday 6th April, will focus on the national curriculum and ICT. The Forum provides a timely opportunity to explore and influence the integration of ICT in the national curriculum. The draft curriculum for the first phase (English, Mathematics, Science and History) has been released for consultations. It is exactly the time to be advocating for both the general capabilities aspect included in all learning areas and the specific ICT learning area which is included in the third phase of the national curriculum.
As with previous ACCE Leadership Forums, the objective of the day's process will be to formulate a position paper to be presented to relevant national and state government authorities, and to be shared with participants.
