Learners in Victorian and South Australian government schools have more internet access, faster connections and are increasingly likely to learn in 1-to-1 computing environments. There is a pressing need to bring together contemporary technology tools and environments with effective pedagogical approaches and rich, challenging content if we want powerful learning outcomes for our students. This can seem daunting to teachers and leaders.
In this session, we will look at models of effective learning in rich, digital environments with challenging content. This session will help you decide where to start and how to proceed. What are the pedagogies that we know work and how can they can be adapted to personalised, blended learning environments that take advantage to ubiquitous access to computing? We will outline initiatives to support teachers who are required to be simultaneously learners and designers of 21st Century learning.
