Adrian Bruce

on Friday, 9 April 2010 13:15 - 14:15 in room 218

With the advent of more and more powerful computing the ability to easily generate creative and diverse artworks is here. This session explores just a few of the possibilities that are free and within the reach of our teachers and our students for creating digital artworks. It will expose the delegates to a variety tools and processes for creating unique and impressive artworks. The session will also address attitudes and values towards ‘new art’ as well as strategies for implementing the ideas presented back in the classroom.

During the workshop delegates will explore and experiment with: digital painting, digital drawing & cartooning, inspirational viewing technologies, online art communities, online tutorials & help sites, digital photography, manipulated art, using the SCAMPER process to generate ideas, how to ‘rise above the program defaults’, use of design briefs to generate diverse artworks and they will ‘play’ with a huge variety of online art generation tools.
