‘Don’t do it better, do it different’ – Marco Torres

Video games, cardboard boxes, puppets & Flip Video cameras can open up a whole new world of creative possibilities for digital story telling. This session will explore free tools and processes that can be used produce unique digital movies.

Delegates will have the opportunity to experiment with machinima film production using video games and virtual environments. They will 'combine' Comic Life & Photostory 3 with images captured from 3d worlds to expand their digital story telling tool box. They will also explore the value of design briefs, story boarding and script writing. Participants will be exposed to classroom stop motion animation, Flip Videos and puppets. They will leave the session with sufficient skills and motivation to try this type of story telling with children of all ages back in their schools and classrooms.
