Moodle Your Mad Mind to the Max

Stephen Collis

on friday, 9 April 2010 11:00 - 11:45 in room 211

The presenter’s school first installed the LMS (Learning Management System) Moodle in 2005. Shortly afterwards we started using it to deliver accredited online courses to students around NSW. In 2009 all our face to face and online courses are comprehensively supported and resourced using Moodle, with podcasts, video casts, email forums, wikis, and so on forming the staple diet of our teaching and learning.

We even use Moodle grade book for all our students and allow parents to log in at any time to see their child’s progress and performance for themselves.

In this session the presenter will showcase a range of Moodle course pages from various subjects and age groups, making some comments on what factors lead to such a widespread embrace of the technology by teachers across the school, and highlighting the plethora of different ways teachers are using Moodle in their classes.

Furthermore, participants will be able to register for their own free Moodle page at one of our installations - http://beyondborders.edu.au for trial use with one of their classes.
