All students can greatly benefit from the use of multimodal software in the primary classroom to enable them to work according to their different learning styles. This is particularly important for those students with literacy difficulties. This presentation aims to give a brief overview of a range of software with powerful features including: visual word processing, speaking text, student friendly and phonetic spell checking, word banks with key vocabulary and visual supports, easy recording of students’ speech to link with their writing, simple use of video and sound and word prediction. All these can really help students to become more successful and motivated learners.
